Knitted Basket Weave Baby Blanket

Finally my knitted basket weave baby blanket I made for my friend Anna is already finished. She is almost to deliver her first baby before she goes on maternity leave I have to give her the blanket for her baby. She still doesn’t know whether it’s a baby girl or baby boy. She said she like the colors beige and brown.

Last Monday, May 26, 2008 I brought the blanket to work and gave it to her. She was very happy to see for it’s the color that she liked.

Hope this blanket will give warmth to her baby. To Anna good luck to motherhood and have a safe delivery.

Fish and Chips

I missed eating fried foods. Today for dinner I have made up my mind to have fish and chips. Before going to get some groceries I thawed the tilapia fillet. The fillets were already thawed when we came back. The beer batter dip added flavor to the tilapia fillet, I coated them before loading to the deep fryer. It came out yummy and crunchy but some of it stick to the basket of the fryer, I don’t know why.

The second round for frying was the fries. It didn’t take so long only about three minutes and dinner was ready to be served. For dessert I bake bread crumbs with honey and butter; and top it with fruit cocktail with cream and chill.

Though fried foods is not good for the health but once in a while is OK. I miss eating the fresh fish from the ocean. Back home I don’t eat tilapia it’s only when I arrived here in Canada that I have tried it.

We had a yummy dinner and now its time to clean up the kitchen.

The Love of Crochet

Its been a while I have not made a post to my blogg. I think its time to update

it. Lately, I have been busy working on my crochet. I just finished 2 sets of

baby blankets (with hat and booties). I wish these baby blankets I made is my baby but I will give to my friend for i dont have one.

Crocheting is addicting even though my fingers and my wrist starts to get numbed of doing it but everytime i see my pattern growing it is so hard to stop. I just want to continue doing it; i get so excited to see the finish product.

I also made a granny squares of yellow and mint green combination i just gave it to my friend for her coming baby boy.

After I made the baby blankets, I made a white and light green granny squares and formed it into a throw blanket. I will give this to my sister this granny blanket will keep her warm on the winter months. Hope she will like it. This blanket is for Lany.

Now, I am still finishing my rectangular granny afghan I am hoping to finish this before my sister, Grace, will be here for a visit this June. I pretty sure she will like this one for she easily gets cold during winter. This blanket will keep her warm and cozy for the coming winter season. I'll post the picture when it is finished.
