Family Day w/ Friends

Today is the family day holiday here in Canada but it was not applicable to all workers. I invited my friends to come over for dinner. I prepared dinugguan, breaded shrimp, calamare, pancit palabok and grilled milkfish. I made some bucayo(sweetened young coconut strips) and my friend brought a blueberry cheesecake.


We had a sumptous dinner. I am happy that they all like the food that I cook. It is nice to eat Filipino dishes. I like to cook but I don't feel like eating after when I am alone. It was nice to be with company around.

Good Luck My Friend

I was chatting with my friend tonight at Yahoo Messenger. I am glad that she is doing ok and busy with her blogging business. I was sad to know that 6 month old baby of her cousin died today. It is sad to for a little angel to go but I told her she is happy now with Jesus.

I admire her for being so supportive to her family in the Philippines, Kudos to you my friend for doing such a good work for them. I wish you good luck in all your endeavors. I hope your parents will be able to decide which are they gonna take after the tour. Hope they will be enlightened by the Holy Spirit to make good decisions.

Friend Waiting

My friend Lynn has be waiting for such a long time for us to talk each other over the phone. Every time I tried to call her she is at work our schedule doesn't coincide at all. She tried to call me as well but I was not home. She is now base in the United States working as a nurse. Yesterday, I got an email from her and was glad to hear from her again.

We are arrange a date again to talk each other on the phone. She said she will be off this coming Sunday but its too bad i won't be home by then. Todd and I will be off for camping to Alegany Park leaving on Saturday. I told her if it is ok to call her on Friday but she said Thursday its ok even if how late it is at night. I told her I will call her by Friday at 10:30 pm after I am done working.

Hope we can talk each other on the phone. It has been such a long time I have not talk to her though we exchange emails once in awhile.

Back in highschool she calls me "lat-lat" for Lotlot de Leon for she use to be my idol, hay naku, highschool life. I call her "lat-lat" as well.

I am glad to receive an email from highschool buddy. I have tried to phone her many times but its just our schedule doesn't coincide. Every time I call her she is working.

Big Thanks to My Friend, Belle

I would like to take this opportunity to say thank you to my friend Belle. In this late hour of the night I sent her a message thru her YM bugging her to help me how to go about my first entry with the PPP; I am so glad she still replied back to me. With out her I will it will take me a lot of time before I can figure out how to do it. I can always count on her for help.

I would like to thank you again for showing me your expertise about this blogging thingy.
Your help was greatly appreciated I hope you won’t be tired of helping if I have some questions in the future.

Vacationing in Ontario for Summer

I got an email from my best friend in college telling me she is planning to visit my place. She is now working in Dubai, UAE. I was happy and excited to know about it. We have not seen each other for three years now. We send her a letter of invitation to support her tourist visa application for Canada. It would be nice if she can come the same time while my sisters are visiting to my place; the more the merrier. She is also excited for her trip and we have planned her itinerary when she comes.

Hopefully her visa will be approved in time for the scheduled invitation.

Great Friday

Thanks God its Friday again. I'm glad the work week for me is over. Friday's I am usually off early at 8 pm unless i want to do overtime. Today at work it was just OK some customers were nice and others were not. Some of them are angry when you call them to pay their debt but over all for today I had some payments collected.

Thanks to Mylene my kababayan at work brought me some "dinugguan and puto" for lunch today. It was really yummy, and I have some take home too.

I had a nice drive on my way home for the sun was still up for most of times i'm done at 10 o'clock at night.

I'm enjoying my Friday evening with my dogs before the weekend comes.

A Decade of FRIENDSHIP

After graduation in October 1996 that was the last time I met my college friends. We all went on separate ways everyone of us has been busy applying for jobs. Shiela, Yvonne and Honey went to work in the same company a shipping industry in Balamban. I was separated from them I was working a shipping industry in a different company. Felaine went to work in a financial industry.

I had off and on communication with them. Thanks to friendster that were able to reconnect again. Last year I went home back to the Philippines and finally we had our reunion after 11 years. The four of us are married and Honey is the only one left single but dating. I was happy to see them again a lot has change in my friends especially on their physical appearance but attitude wise they are still the same. They all have kids except for me. We met in Ayala Center Cebu had drinks at Starbucks and we for lunch in Gussippie an Italian Restaurant (courtesy of Shiela's fiance). After lunch went back to the mall to have our studio shot taken. We ate again at Red Ribbon for I really miss their pancit palabok. It was nice to reminisce the times that we were together. We were all working students of the university so its like study by day and work at night or vice versa. We had to maintain grades in order to keep our scholarship.

Thanks for the time you spent with me my precious friends even if it was short but I had a great time.

Till we meet again and looking forward for more years of friendship to come.
