Delicious Dinner

I made delicious menudo (saucey ground pork with cubes carrots, potato and red pepper) for my dinner at work tonight. I made it earlier today before going to work that was also my lunch. I brought a lot to work to share it with my friend (Filipina) I also worked with. She is likes it very much and she also shared her food which is "fried bolinaw" its like an omelet of small fish or a fish patty.
We had a good dinner tonight at work savoring the dishes we prepared.

I told her I will be making dinugguan by Thursday and I will give her some.

Got What I Wanted

As I mentioned in my previous post work has change our schedules. I am glad to find out that I got the shift that I wanted. I will still be working afternoon shift with longers hours but I still got my weekends off. It will be more money on the positive side but I am sure it will be a long day. It is Friday once again I am glad for it will be my last day of my work week. It is Friday and it will be my pay day I am just excited to get my pay check with my bonus on it. I will also find out when I go to work today about my new schedule. Starting December 1, 2008 they are changing our work schedule I hope I will get what I bid for. I bid for an afternoon shift from 2:30-11:00 at night Mon-Friday with the weekends off. They will base it on our performance and statistic of dollars collected. With their basis on granting on the schedule I wanted I am sure I pass with their standards but I am not giving myself false hopes. Hope I will be happy with schedule they allocate for me.

Winter Is Here

Winter is here we have a blast of snow today. It was snowing so bad while I was still at work. After work I had to clean my car before I can leave the parking lot. This is the season that I don't like it is cold and it is very depressing. It gets dark easily even at 5 o'clock in the afternoon. It is also hard to drive when the snow is heavy or especially if it freezes on the road it will be very icy. This is just the start it is not even official winter yet we are still on our fall season.

I hope it won't snow tomorrow gives time for the snow we have today to melt.

It is Sunday once again and here I am ironing the clothes and fixing my closet. I already kept my summer clothes for the winter season is just around the corner. It will be cold and snowing again which I really don't like. It is just nice to stay at home during those times but I can't for I have to work.

Finally after 3 months we hit our 500% target daily work productivity. The managers were very happy that we have hit our target after such a long time. They congratulated everyone's effort in making it happen. In the last 3 months our work was in danger for the client was no longer happy with our penetrations. I was chatting with my friend tonight at Yahoo Messenger. I am glad that she is doing ok and busy with her blogging business. I was sad to know that 6 month old baby of her cousin died today. It is sad to for a little angel to go but I told her she is happy now with Jesus.

All Saint's Day

Do you have a patron saint? My Mama used to be devotee of Saint Anthony De Padua. Every time she goes to church she will wear her "abito" brown dress and a white belt symbolizing the image of St. Anthony. She encourage me to be a devotee to Our Lady of Lourdes but I didn't happen at all. She always do the novena for St. Anthony during his feast day. Our dear saints will help us also if we pray for them.

Chat With My Family

I slept very late last night I had a chat with my family back in the Philippines. We had a phone conversation thru yahoo messenger. My sister from Davao and two for her kids went to Cebu to attend the All Soul's Day celebration to offer prayers and visit to the grave of our parents. This is our first All Soul's Day celebration without my Mama for she just passed away two months ago. I miss them and the attending the celebration also. They went to the cementry early in the morning to bring the flowers and candles. Mass for the souls was celebrated at 4 o'clock in the afternoon, after they had their dinner at the grave of my parents. My niece said she will be sharing photos to me once she gets back to Davao.

Hope I can visit them again soon. I want that on my next visit I will make it in time for Christmas.
